Use the โน and โบ buttons in the toolbar to move to the previous or next patch without going back to the checklist.
Importing Patches
ZIP import
A ZIP file should contain patches.csv plus a folder of photo files named to match each patch's issue_number (e.g. F-12.jpg). Photos are imported and stored alongside your data.
CSV import
Import a spreadsheet with columns: name (required), issue_number (required), and optional columns for type, year, description, issue_run, photo_filename, tags, border_type, border_color, metallic_border, backing_type, stitching_direction, and owned_copies.
Sample CSV
Tap Download sample CSV on the Import screen to get a template showing the correct format with example patches.
Merging
Imports never overwrite existing patches. Patches whose issue_number already exists in the checklist are skipped โ only new ones are added.
๐ก A live import preview shows you exactly which patches are new before anything is committed.
Tags
Built-in tags
Conclave, NOAC, Jamboree, Trader, Delegate, Fellowship, Ordeal, Brotherhood, Vigil, Staff, and Limited are always available for any patch.
Custom tags
Create your own tags in the tag editor. Custom tags appear in the checklist tag filter strip alongside built-in tags.
Delete a custom tag
Long-press a custom tag button in the tag editor and choose Delete. The tag is removed from all patches that use it.
Reports
Generate a report
Tap + โ Generate report inside any lodge to open the report screen. Choose Owned patches, Needed patches, or Duplicate patches. The button shows the current count for each type.
Owned patches report
Lists every patch you own, grouped into Flaps, Event Patches, and Other. Shows issue number, name, type, year, tags, and condition.
Needed patches report
Lists every patch not yet in your collection, grouped by type. Shows issue number, name, type, year, and tags โ useful as a want list when trading at NOAC or Conclave.
Duplicate patches report
Lists patches where you own more than one copy. Shows the number of extra copies and condition โ useful for organizing trades.
Save or share the PDF
Once generated, tap Save or share PDF to export via AirDrop, Mail, Files, or any other share destination.
Backup & Restore
Create a backup
Tap โฏ โ Backup collection. A ZIP file is created containing all lodges, patches, collection data, custom tags, and photos. Tap Save or share backup to store it in Files or iCloud.
๐ก Back up regularly, especially before updating the app or switching to a new device.
Restore from backup
Tap โฏ โ Restore from backup and select a PatchCatalogBackup ZIP file. Choose Replace to overwrite all current data, or Merge to add new items without removing what you already have.
Before restoring
Always create a fresh backup of your current data before doing a Replace restore, in case you want to go back.
โ ๏ธ A Replace restore overwrites all current data. This cannot be undone.
